Start Up Zine!

Sam Rutherford, artist and educator, has collaborated with Rowan Alba to develop a creative programme encouraging adults to get involved in artistic practice through inclusion – something she feels passionately about.

As we have been more open to get creative during lockdown, with a freedom to express ourselves in new ways especially for those venturing into the arts for the first time.  Sam saw an opportunity to share this learning, through simple steps to help and encourage adults to get creative!

Start Up Zine captures lots of ideas from the various groups Sam has worked with to get you started on your creative journey.  Each section has options you can do in the home with simple materials as well as outdoor activities to get you out and about.

Download an electronic copy of the Start Up Zine or there a limited number of hard copies available which can be posted out to you.  Please email Sam to request a copy.

This activity was generously supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation through a programme organised by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education.
