This event is open to carers in Edinburgh and Midlothian.

Date and time: Thursday 29 May May 1pm – 2:30pm

Location: Leaving from Maggie Dickson’s, 92 Grassmarket, Edinburgh

All ages welcome. A minimum of three people need to book on to allow this tour to run.

Invisible Cities are proud to support Respitality Turns 10 celebrations by donating a tour in Edinburgh. Invisible Cities is a social enterprise that trains people who have experienced homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own city.

Enjoy a unique tour of Edinburgh and learn about the women from past and present who have contributed to the city, led by tour guide Gayle. Starting with Maggie Dickson’s gruesome story, you will also learn about writers, female doctors and the witches of Scotland through the tours. There are steps along the way, but the tour can be made fully accessible so let us know beforehand. The tour takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, and ends down the Royal Mile, Edinburgh’s most famous street!

Booking: click “request break” and complete the form to register your interest. A member of our Wee Breaks team will then contact you to discuss your request.

Please note, availability for this event is limited and priority will be given to carers who have not previously accessed Wee Breaks funding or tickets.

If you are offered tickets, these will be sent by email.
