This event is open to carers living or caring for someone in Edinburgh or Midlothian.

Carers are invited to a tour of the new exhibition at the King’s Gallery (formerly the Queen’s Gallery) at Palace of Holyroodhouse, charting the evolution of portrait photography of the royal family from the 1920s to the present day. The exhibition brings together photographic prints, proofs and documents from the Royal Collection and the Royal Archives.

Discover works from the most celebrated royal photographers, from Cecil Beaton and Dorothy Wilding to Annie Leibovitz and Rankin. The exhibition sheds light on behind-the-scenes processes, from photographers’ handwritten annotations to correspondence with members of the Royal Family and their staff.

The tour of the exhibition takes place on Thursday 13 March from 2pm to 4pm. Carers can request a place for yourself and a companion.

Priority:  These tickets are limited so priority will be given to those carers who have not benefited from VOCAL Wee Breaks support previously.

To Book: Click the “Request Break” button above, fill in the form, and the VOCAL Wee Breaks team will contact you to discuss your request.
