Please note, this opportunity is only open to carers in Edinburgh who are on low incomes.

Do you like the idea of cycling more but do not have a bike or other necessary equipment? Would you benefit from lessons and group rides to improve your confidence on the bike? Would you like to know how to maintain your bike?

As part of The Bike Station’s Shifting Gears Programme, VOCAL are offering a limited opportunity for carers to get a refurbished bike for themselves and/or children in their household. There are also opportunities for carers to benefit from:

  • Free cycling accessories (helmets, locks and lights)
  • Free cycling lessons
  • Access group rides
  • Maintenance classes to learn how to repair your bike

To book: click the “request break” button, complete the form, and someone will be in touch to get details for your referral to The Bike Station.

Availability: Referral numbers to The Bike Station are limited. Priority will be given to carers on low income and who have not benefitted from Wee Breaks support previously.
