The National Mining Museum Scotland are offering Midlothian carers the opportunity to be part of a group tour of the museum and explore Scotland’s mining past. The National Mining Museum is a 5-star visitor attraction based on the site of the restored Lady Victoria Colliery in Newtongrange.
The tour is organised specifically for VOCAL Midlothian carers and will take place between 2:30pm – 4pm on Thursday 2 May 2024. An ex-miner will guide the group through the museum, including two floors of mining exhibitions before finishing in the café for a nice cuppa. The Museum has a free car park with disabled spaces and a ramp leading to the Museum’s main reception area.
Priority: These tickets are limited so priority will be given to those carers who have not benefited from VOCAL Wee Breaks support previously.
Tickets: Two tickets per carer. This event is open to carers registered in Midlothian.
(There is another tour organised for Edinburgh carers – book here: National Mining Museum Tours (Edinburgh) – Wee Breaks)
To Book: Click the ‘Request Break’ button above and the VOCAL Wee Breaks team will be in touch to discuss your request.
